Indonesia Hold Vietnam, Luis Milla Call Every Game is Final
Indonesia drew 0-0 with Vietnam in the fourth game of Group B SEA Games 2017 at Selayang Stadium, Selangor, Malaysia, Tuesday (22/08/2017).
The draw drew Garuda Young into third place in Group B with a collection of eight points.
The top position of the standings is occupied by Vietnam which sums up 10 points with a goal difference advantage (12-1) over Thailand (7-1).
Related to that, Indonesia national team coach, Luis Milla, said that every game is final.
“Since the first time here, our focus is game after game,” coach Luis Milla told a press conference after a match attended by reporters.
“I remember in every game we showed better progress and I say every game is final,” said the Spanish coach.
In addition, Milla said that in this competition there is no time for recovery. He also reminded that the last fight versus Cambodia is an opportunity to get through to the semifinals.
“We know in this competition there is no time for recovery,” Milla said.
“So, the last game is our step to get away from the group,” he said.
Thailand will meet Vietnam in the final match of the 2017 Group B SEA Games allowance.
Assuming Thailand and Vietnam draw, Indonesia need to win by a margin of three goals over Cambodia in the final game in order to qualify for the semi-finals.
Another case if one team lost, Indonesia enough to win with the score 1-0 to get to step into the semifinals.
Indonesia vs Cambodia and Thailand vs Vietnam match will be held simultaneously on Thursday (8/24/2017) at 15.00 pm.
